My Windows Media Player seems to be corrupted. I am unable to open up movies (it just makes a weird screeching noise when I do) in it and unable to add new music files to it. This started about a month ago. What are the risks of uninstalling it and reinstalling it? Am I going to loose all my media files? It also mysteriously added a lot of clip art (junk) files that it mysteriously won't let me delete. Can I just uninstall it and it just automatically add my original music files on my computer? Do those files stay here on my computer and I can just re-add them to my Windows Media Player when I reinstall it? Please let me know before I uninstall it. I even contacted HP help desk and they were unable to assist me in correcting this problem. I have the latest version I think and my operating system is Windows 7. Thank you ever so much! <><
