Jgh H,
Hi, my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to provide assistance and help answer questions people might have about Internet Explorer.
IE8 is officially out of its beta testing stage. On Monday, the Internet Explorer 8 release candidate (RC1) was made available for download.
The release candidate closely resembles what the final version of IE8 will be like, but is still in the final testing stages. The final version isn't available yet.
You can download RC1 here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/worldwide-sites.aspx?ocid=ie8_sm_b
I hope this helps!
