DVD ripping question...?

Hey all, just a quick question. I'm using WinX DVD Ripper Platinum to backup my DVD collection, and I've found that the sound is slightly delayed from the video, leaving it looking slightly like the voice overs in a japanese monster movie. Does anyone know a good way to fix this? Lovely old windows live movie maker stops working everytime I open an MP4 with it, so that's out of the question. Any help would be appreciated.

if winx isn't workng, try another better dvd ripper, Personally, I use AVS Video Converter for all video conversion, I used it to convert all my DVD rips from .avi to .mp4's for my iPod. Here's some of the features from their site:
