Does anybody know if ubuntu has chose to stop updating chromium?

Question

I have been using chromium 16 and just wondering what their updates are like for chromium and why version 17 is not out yet for chromium. I am using Linux mint 11 lxde and just wondering if I should switch to a different web browser or a different operating system. The chromium daily build devolper and beta has not been updated either on Ubuntu's ppa.

I have been wondering about this myself too. I haven't tried it yet but version 17 is in the Chromium - Dev Channel

Alternatively Google Chrome 17 can be installed

I think its just because that version of the OS has stopped recieving updates. Try upgrading to mint 12.
