For two years, my desktop computer restarts in random intervals. If I use media via youtube, play music, or look through pictures, it will restart. Every time my USB flash drive is plugged in longer than two minutes, it will restart. I've had many error reports pop up as well as a "Virtual Memory is Low" occur over and over. I cannot run a full-system scan before the computer freezes or restarts. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

your needs are more but your ram is less. you should change the ram.or go to control panel and "UNINSTALL" unnecessary programs. a temporary method for this problem is --> ctrl+alt+delete and then g to processes in the window that opens search for explorer.exe end the process. wait for 1-2 mins don't panic.close the windows. make sure you don't even move the mouse. then again ctrl+alt+delete go to file>new task then type explorer.exe and restart the computer that will help atleast a bit!

MAKE SURE NO PROGRAM IS RUNNING DURING THE PROCESS!

hope i helped :)

There are several adjustments to try before real troubleshooting. Disabling Restart on Error might let you read a useful error message and should be the default anyhow.

Virtual Memory includes hard drive space - on your system drive unless you changed it. Be sure you have enough free space. Copy tunes, videos, and docs off onto CD if need be.

Use Safe Mode for regular maintenance if it will not work from a normal startup.

You have a VIRUS!

To combat this threat, please follow these instructions:

Turn the computer on, and boot into safe mode.

This is usually performed by depressing the F8 or F10 key during the boot-up process.

This is not a mandatory operation, but does provide extra protection while proceeding.

At the logon screen, log on to the computer.

Once you are at the desktop, go to the control panel.

** Here’s the trick! **

Create a new user account with administrator privileges.

Download, install, update and run Anti-virus software and Anti-malware scanner, if available.

*** See links below for trial and free software to help combat this threat ***

After threat(s) are discovered, remove with pertinent software(s).

Utilize Windows Explorer or My Computer to access personal folder(s) & file(s).

Move these folder(s) & file(s) to a safe location. Example(s)… Memory stick, external storage device.

*** Warning, this procedure will remove ALL files for that user. ***

Once this procedure is completed, delete the old user account in control panel.

Re-boot the computer.

Log on to the computer using the new user account again.

Re-create the old user account, if desired.

FINISHED!

Congratulations, you have just combated a viral threat and won!

I'll just toss out a general answer here;

Scan with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Install AVAST!

If it still doesn't work, install and run Hijack This! And drop me the log at AbsoluteZero110@Gmail.com
