What's wrong with my iPhone 5 screen?

It used to type really easily and click on letters quick so I could type really fast but for the last few days I'll click on something and my screen will start typing or doing another action than I tried to make it do, I've switched my phone on and off, attempted to clean the screen, update apps and washed my hands several times. I have dropped my phone quite a lot but this is worst at night time when I'm lying in bed.. During the day it happens but not as often and it's not as noticeable or concerning. This has never happened before but I was wondering is it something I'm doing wrong or should I consider taking it to the apple store?

Hello Hayley :)

Based on your description i assume that you have dropped your Iphone , and that the touchscreen is experiencing sensor problems. Easy things to do -> First of all if you have Apple+ Warranty you can bring it to them so they can fix it for you. if not go to an apple store an tell them what happened, they will tell you to keep your phone and find out what's wrong with it. After finding the problem, go to a phone store and tell them to fix it for you, it's much cheaper than Apple. or (not recommended) Fix it by yourself! there are a lot of videos on youtube explaining step by step how to fix it. However You Should try to completely restore the Iphone. Maybe there's Something wrong with the Software.

Your touch screen might be broken, take it to a different repair store, unless you have a warranty, or you can replace it by yourself if you can.

Apple store - Super Expensive

Other stores - ~100+Labour or so I believe to replace the LCD/LED itself.

Your self - Cheap, simple buy the LCD/LED you just open the iPhone up, disconnect a cable, take out the screen, put in the new one plugin the new cable in, close the iPhone up, and you're done.
