Question:
Excel - how can I adjust spacing between characters? (I can't find anything in Google)?

For some reason, each cell seems to have a different format. Please refer to the picture uploaded.
The only time I used the spacebar was between the word "hello" and "world".

1. Too big of a space between each character
2. When I use ONLY numbers, it shows as I want it to show.
3. When I combine words with numbers, the space between character increases again.
4. When I combine words with numbers, the space between character increases again.
5. The spacebar space is almost as big as the space between characters.

- I have tried changing fonts, size, alignment, and it keeps happening.

Thank you in advance.

Excel is not a typesetting software. The most you can do is change font and font size.

It looks like you are stuck in some sort of mono-spaced font. But you tried changing to Arial for example and it still holds in there? Is this happening in every document - old ones that you try to edit, new ones you are creating? It seems like there is some funky formatting in there. I'd suggest a repair on Excel before going any further!

Excel does not contain the same tools as Word for manipulating character spacing. Thus, it seems to me that Excel has become corrupted. Have you tried repairing it?
