i could examine with the documentation on the Ubuntu internet site for tips approximately installation Ubuntu as a twin boot. At very least you prefer the Vista deploy disk. regrettably i'm having workstation issues myself good now (and that i'm on gentoo no longer Ubuntu) so i won't be able to spend the ingredients on gathering up the correct components for you. you will locate which you probable would desire to repartition your annoyingcontinual earlier you install. and you prefer the thirty gigs -- yet you will would desire to take despite domicile windows components. you'll want that Vista disk while and as you establish to eliminate vista. To twin boot you should use grub. Grub shops some boot tips on the Linux partition. And it writes some to the grasp Boot record. once you nuke Ubuntu, to get domicile windows decrease back you will desire to bypass on and run "fixmbr" from the vista deploy disk. That restores it to the way it replaced into earlier you place grub on.
You may be right

I have the same problem, but I can use a wire and that works.

they say there is a way, but I tried it and it still didn't work, I don't remember what it was, but you have to update the drivers somehow. It's on the Ubuntu site somewhere.

Open Synaptic, the program management program, and type in the search : b43-fwcutter and install it. This will extract the codes from the chip so you can use your wirelesss.
