How do I play Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne without the CD?

I have the game fully installed, but unfortunately, I lost the CD so I am no longer able to play the game. Is there any way I can play the game without the CD? Detailed instructions would be much appreciated. Also, I'm not great with computer terms and such, so keep the language basic. Thanks!

go to gamecopyworld.com or gameburnworld.com. You are going to download a no-cd crack. Down the 1.0 version for Warcraft unless you have already updated Warcraft. If so you will see that version listed.

A no-cd crack usually consist of 1-3 files. The exe file that runs the game, a dll file that checks for a disc in the drive and maybe another file. You basically download these files and replace these on the computer. DO NOT delete these original files just in case this does not work. You cannot get these files mixed up cause if you do and dont you'll be screwed (since you dont have a disc). Backup the files first. What I do is just rename the file(s). I usually rename it from ex. "warcraft.exe" to "warcraft.exe.old".

The files you download are usually in a zip or rar format. (rar can be opened with Winrar). After extracting the files, there will be a text file or a file with a nfo extension. right-click on the file and choose open with and open with notepad. follow the instructions that are in the file that will prolly have you copy and paste the files

lol, I do this all the time, the problem is that if you have the original installation CD Key, you are good to go. It is not illegal as long as you have your OWN cd key.



What you have to do is get a friends copy of the mentioned game, get a cd burning software like Nero or Alcohol %120 (highly recomend alcohol) and use it to make a copy of the cd, and save it as an image.



Then use either mentioned software above (again, alcohol is much better) and virtually mount the cd image you made earlier. Nero is like 70$ at any retail store or download an alcohol trial for like 15-days.



The issue is, alcohol only last 15-days, then no go, and any OEM (it comes free with the computer you purchased) suite of nero may not contain virtual cd mounting software, and if the cd is copyrighted, nero may not copy it, while alcohol can, it will do it under a file extension, that Nero will not mount later on.
