okay i know ppl are getting pretty annoyed with my excel questions but trust me, im getting more annoyed having to ask them non-stop :P

so here it goes (ONCE AGAIN)...

when i get a conditional formatting formula and i would like to apply that formula to the cells below, im doing it manualy, i select cells B1:C1, click on conditional formatting insert formula and then repeat for cells B2:C2 and so on and so forth...well after 10 times im pretty damn annoyed by it...is there a way where i can just copy and paste down just the conditional formatting formula and excel will pick it up or do i have to do this another bazillion times?

Instead of formatting B1:C1, B2:C2, B3:C3 seperatly, you can simply select B1:C3

Sorry, I haven't been following your story.

You have someting in B1 and C1 that is dependent on something else (say A1), and you want something similar in B2,C2 dependent on A2? And so on?

Just highlight B1 and C1 and copy to clipboard. Then highlight, B2,C2 down to Bn,Cn and choose paste.

If they're all dependent on the SAME cell then instead of calling it A1 in the original formula, use $A$1 to fix it.

in excel put int he first cell for ex A1

do it for the second cell for ex B1

now highlight both those cells

you will see a small box in the bottom corner of the b1

drag that down the coloum and excel will fill in the rest

Just select the whole column for your conditional format, then change your heading format so that is not conditionally formatted, but as you had it formatted prior.
