Even after turning off automatic updates and even the antivirus update option to manual, DUmeter(a software which monitors internet activity) shows that something is being downloaded and a small amount of data being uploaded. What is it that is going on in my pc?? I have real player installed and ofcourse other windows components.. Is there any way to monitor what is being downloaded or being uploaded..

if something is being downloaded then it is normal for a small amount of upload traffic it is part of the communication protocol.

check msconfig and see what is starting up first there may be another program doing updates.

start / run msconfig enter

It may be anything. Just look out for any third party softwares installed on your p c. Some s/w have an in built feature to transmit data to their relevant websites including real player...

From my experience once microsoft download starts a download it will continue downloading the selected files even after you turn of the selection. It will not start a new slection but will continue with the old one to the bitter end

Type msconfig in run window, turn off all updates in services and startup options. this will solve your question. and one more thing to remember is hide all microsoft services before turning of the services and start up in the utility box.

that quite sucks, guy, yet do you quite think of you may sue Microsoft... between the main important enterprise's interior the international!? i do no longer think of any clever criminal expert could even attempt this type of undertaking. It sounds extra like an Adobe replace led to it anyhow. many circumstances there are updates happening that shoppers do no longer even understand. i understand your pi** ed off, yet i surely do no longer think of Microsoft could "hack" your equipment to do an automated replace - maximum of their updates are for his or her ease in coping with MS problems :) attempt a secure Mode Boot (think of this is F8 on your equipment), and attempt a equipment restoration (desire it became became on) to an until eventually now date. If that would not paintings, take it on your close by computing device save - shouldn't fee extra advantageous than $one hundred to recuperate your 4TB (why is that each and each physique inner?) HDD. Your exterior drives could be wonderful. I additionally could say (and this is going for each man or woman interpreting this) that if your company is computing device based, save your considerable computing device off line - injury down and purchase a extra on your funds one you ought to use as a "stunt double". relatively however: i desire you may get it working very nicely!

if any spy,ad,mal, nag warez on ur pc they can process and can download any thing.u must disable auto start entries.that :

1.start-run-type "msconfig"

2.then on services.check "hide all ms services"

3.then disable all

4.if u trust somthin u can enable them

5.on start up items disable all.

then apply-ok-restart

or u can find any UNWANTED processes

by taskmanager

avast

kaspersky
