your download can take up to a week.
I like Bittorrent, i find it a lot faster than utorrent.

30MBps Is incredibly FAST for P2P. I think you must mean 30KBps.
Yes, stop using the internet, stop all other P2P downloads and leave the one you want. Basically let the torrent have all your bandwidth. The only problem is, you can only download what is being seeded so if it's a poorly seeded file then you want get very good speeds no matter how fast a connection you have. If it's really painfully slow, go and look for another torrent of the same file. Most torrent search sites usually have more than one of any particular file so go and see if theres a better seeded one out there if you can't get the speed to pick up for this one.
A good tip is to leave your torrents to download overnight while your sleeping. This way you don't notice if it takes ages. I often do this and it's only the odd very rare file that hasn't completed by the morning.

First off, I think you meant to say that the file is downloading at 30kb/s, as 30MB/s would be incredibly fast. There are many factors in transfer rates of torrent files, many of those being dependent on your network, router, and even possibly your ISP. However, it could be possible that your download is being limited by your download rate set in your utorrent options. Though unlikely, if it is you can go to the settings menu and up the maximum download speed. This will not negatively affect your download, in fact if this is the problem, it will only increase the current download rate of the file.

Looks like you are already half way through........ the only way your speed increases is if you have a number of seeders . The more number of seeders in a swarm the higher your speed. Of course download speeds are a function of the BB connection, network congestion and a number of other factors.

If your connection speed is 256 Kb/ps then you will get a maximum download speed of 32 Kb/ps.. But still you can increase the speed a quit bit.. Visit http://charvinsoft.blogspot.com and get the trackers list from there and follow the instructions given there!!!
