Open Office word processor will save your files as a web page. It will also open web pages in the word processor. Office Presentation (like power point) will also do the same thing.

Open Office Presentation/Impress

Open Office Word Processor/Writer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Writer

Open Office General

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org

All this comes as default with Ubuntu

ok... i've got self belief ubuntu is 1000 situations extra desirable... yet then you definately could be conscious of the thank you to apply ? Use ubuntu CD and boot from there by gparted (Partition supervisor of Ubuntu) format your hdd to fats 32 or ntfs as consistent with your determination. then installation XP, Now each and every ingredient would be seen as you mandatory FAT32 / NTFS format. and if required installation ubuntu in twin boot mode so as so you might use domicile windows and Ubuntu as consistent with requirement.

I don't know why you you wouldn't want to use wine except that you tried and it doesn't work.

My suggestion is very similar but I know it does work. It is crossover office or cedega. I know, i forgot which one it was because I was just trying it out. I have a legal copy of Office and wanted to see if it worked for a friend.

You can check the compatibility lists first to make sure it does work.

Better yet use a linux alternative. Some are said to be better.

use VirtualBox (I prefer the PUEL version) to install a virtual windows, which you can use to get frontpage.

you can use this:

to save to ubuntu desktop
