Given there are 360+ flavors of Linux (www.distrowatch.com) you are sure to find numerous that will suit your visual fancy. I think Sabayon is pretty nice - but it is a bear to set up - easy to install, but most things (printer, commands, xyz) don't work FOR ME. You might have a different experience.

Anything with the Gnome or KDE desktop environment can be made to look better than Vista, but it most likely won't look better right out of the box.

IMO, the best looking Linux distro by default is Sabayon:

Sabayon uses KDE. If you want to make it look even better, you can use KDE themes:

My favorite distro is Linux Mint:

Linux Mint uses Gnome and doesn't look that great by default, but it can be made to look way better than Vista by applying some Gnome themes:

Hi, I don't think any of them r better looking than Vista for now.

Vista has the best interface I have ever seen and the only other thing that competes with Vista's looks is Aqua of Mac OS X.

KDE4 the GUI Environment for Linux is trying to improve the default looks though.

I suggest u try openSUSE or Mandriva since they actually focus on looks and ease of use and have a GUI for everything, they r very stable.

OpenSUSE:

Mandriva:

Good Luck!

EDIT:

I don't know why I got a thumbs down, its the truth Linux GUI's r horribly ugly compared to Windows or OS X, compiz fusion is just eye candy, it doesn't make your system look good does it?
Linux Mint 11

Most Linux distro's available won't really look better than Vista when you get it, but you can customize it to look a lot better.
