Here's my situation. When I plugged in my memory card via card reader here in our laptop, all the files suddenly became a "shortcut" file. At first, I thought that my sd card is just broken or jammed up or whatever so i thought of buying a new one. but when i inserted my flash drive, all of the files became "shortcut" also. I can't open the files on my sd card in my phone.
I don't know what to do.. How can I get my files back or cleaned up?
My dad has important files also. Do i need to reformat our laptop?

How to repair the

infected SD card and

restore all files?

1. Connect your infected

Micro SD card to a

Windows based

computer.

2. Go to Start -> Run option

-> type “cmd”

3. Then type this command

attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*

and press Enter. Note:

remember to replace f:

with the MicroSD card

letter shown under “My

Computer”. And don't

add any more or less

space.

4. Now see if your files or

folders become normal.

I had the commands and

they helped resolved my

friend’s problem.

You don't need to delete or format anything, this is a common virus lots of people face these days. your files are still inside your sd card and usb drive, just follow these steps. Open command promt as administrator (search for command promt, then right click run as administrator), then type : attrib -h -s -r -a /s /d drive_letter:\*.*

Don't type the two dots (:), start typing from atrrib section, in the drive letter section type your sd card or usb drive's letter. Wait for 30 seconds, then your files should be back. Then copy your files (only your files, not the junky virus files) then format the usb drive, you are good to go.

When files in SD cards or laptop changed to shortcuts ,,they are affected by malware.you can stop the process by opening taskmanager and kill that process which is affecting files or the service can be stoppd by opening services.msc in run command.
