I have been using uTorrent for ever and a day to dl my torrents. I do movies, music and now I started dling books. I dled the book Freshwater Aquariums for Dummies. Worked great, opened it up, can read and print it in pdf formet. No issues. So I went to thepiratebay.org and isohunt.com to look for more dummies books dls. I found this one.

I wasnt sure that I wanted all the books in this torrent since it's over 5 gb and I'm already at my dling cap with my isp, so I did a search for Crochet Patterns for Dummies which is one of the titles in this larger torrent of all the dummies books. And I found it! YAY! I dled it no issues at all. So I took a look at the larger 5 gb torrent of all the dummies books ans I started dling it but after 1-2 minutes got this error message in my uTorrent.

The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mappedsection open.

WTF?? So I tried dling the exact same torrent from isohunt.com. Same issue. This is a brand new thing. This JUST started yesterday. So I went back and tried redownloading the Crochet Pattersn for Dummies and now IT'S giving me the same error message. I am using AVG. I have NOT changed any settings on it or my computer. I am using Windows 7 (which is ABSOLUTELY HATE WITH A PASSION!!!!), SOOOOO, I have no idea what is going on. I did a forcerecheck with utorrent and that did nothing.

Can some please help me with this. I have googled it brutally and found all this stuff and this thing is I don't want to start fiddling around with my AVG and such, because THAT isn't the issue. If it was, then I would have had issues with it before, and I haven't.

Hey, I just ran into the same problem.



Seems is the combination of Windows 7 + AVG + U torrent >1.8. Disabling AVG while downloading will solve your problem temporarilly.



Seems that the torrent version you´re running will have this issue, seems that U torrent doesn't like AVG scanning in real time the incoming files.



Thus far, the most common causes of this error have been:

- ThreatFire

- AVG

- SpyBot Search & Destroy



I have tried to add as an exception the u torrent downloads folder to the AVG resistant shield. I know is the best solution, but given your passion... and mine... seems is the best option.



Keep in mind you should SCAN any executable files that arrive to that folder. Not all torrents are trojan free. So... careful.
