photoshop help gadget?

i wonder how can i make photoshop works faster by using some pen instead of mouse.. like i saw on tv an artist sketching his drawing by not using a mouse but through a pen on some kinda mousepad too..

is tablet pc recommendable for photoshop users?
but im sure that tablet pcs are so expensive

please any recommendations?

they arent tablet pc's they are graphics tablets i highley reccomend them for photoshop users i have one myself they are a bit pricey the cheapest o have seen is 100 bucks for the wacom bamboo which is a great tablet so if your going to get one and you dont want to spend that much get the bamboo.tablets make things more accurate in photoshop



edit: there really isnt any alternatives to graphics tablets if you wanna get one for cheap you should check ebay,kijiji or craigslist

yes lol layout pads are a God send.......



they are hard to get to grips with at 1st



erm they wont make the program run any faster.........
