Addons showing this version of Firefox not compatable with Real player downloads. Everyone else having this problem. I know I can play videos and the like on real player as a web page and download them like that as an alternative.

Download an alternative. I find this alternative better than Real Player anyway - Video DownloadHelper: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006 . If you're not happy with downloading an alternative, try using http://keepvid.com/ instead. However, Video DownloadHelper is compatible with many more websites than KeepVid.
And you're right - Real Player is not currently compatible with FireFox.

Realplayer plugin would not artwork in Mozilla Firefox 3 and up till now. in case you opt for the realplayer to artwork, then unstall Firefox 3 and set up Firefox 2 which helps the realplayer.
