my computer was attacked, mcafee anti-virus ,did not detect,i then installed norton anti virus.i had norton scan and sweep for virus remval, then they put their anti -virus on, my computer is still totally almost useless,i get pop up messages,it freezes everytime almost after a few minutes.

these registry pop ups with name s i never heard off are they part of viruses still on there?is there anyway to eliminate them?

i know having the two viruses on there is probably causing conflict? i unsuscribed to mcafee but the removal tool they sent me won;t work, because mcafee is still blocking some file from being downloaded so i haven't been able to rmove it?

also do i need to uninstall and rove both mcafee and norton, and then reinstall norton? having both of these anti-viruses on there even though i am currently unsuscribed to mcafee, does this cause some of the problems i mentioned? or is tha strictly a security problem? i also tried doing a system restore but that did not help much. the computer bworks really slow, the screen freezes all the time and when i boot i get a bunch of strange registry windos? computer usually only runs normal for a few minutes and then the problems start.

Norton is garbage. It will take some doing to get it completely off of your pc. Go to PCHell they will tell you how to get rid of it. Then go get AVG or something from download.com, it's free. Then download Malwarebytes, that should find all of your viruses AND get rid of them.

Ok here is what I want you to do...

1.You need to reformat your hard drive.

2.Never use either of those anti-virus programs again.

3.Please use The Shield for your anti-virus program.

(The Shield Deluxe 2009)

4.You can install this on up to 3 pcs at once.
