Open up Yahoo, save that page to favourites/bookmarks (if using Firefox) make sure that you size your Internet Explorer or Firefox window so you can see a bit of the desktop (click on the 2 little boxes at the top right hand side of your screen, to the left of the X). Then click on Favs or Bookmarks left click on the yahoo link & HOLD DOWN the button in favs and drag across to desktop.

Save your yahoo to favorites .



Now look at your user folders and you will see favorites along with your music , pictures ,documents etc.



Just open the favorites folder and right click on the yahoo entry and select "send to " > "desktop shortcut"



Or If the favorites folder has not opened full screen just drag the yahoo entry to you desktop.
