Question:
windows fatal system error help!!!!!?
2007-09-30 16:02:21 UTC
right bit of a problem, I tried to re-install win xp home when it was extracting the files from the cd it could not extract about 6 of them and just before it got to the bit that says "approximatly 39 min to go" when installing it came up with a blue screen saying fatal system error and a code after it I think it was c000021a .

I thought it was my windows cd but I have tried a friends pirated one (reluctantly) i'm not made for prison lol and that one did the same thing but using my win xp cd and reseting pc and retrying I got a little further each time, 4 hours later I had windows but no my documents or disc defragment???.

Basically I have been told it is most likely my harddrive is corrupted, my pc is circa 2001/2(so quite old). My brother is ordering me a new harddrive motherboard and chip tomorrow, will this cure my problem??? or has anyone got a suggestion as to the cause.

sorry its so long but the more info the better and thank you to anyone for their help in advance

More than likely you have leftover files from the old install. Try a Quick Wipe instead of a simple format.

I use a program called Kill Disk every time I clean install any OS. It takes about 1 hour per 10gb to wipe the drive.

It seems such as you: a million- your device grew to become contaminated with a bad virus that feels like a living house windows equipment folder. The virus is the pretend folder Isass.exe document. the actual living house windows folder starts off with the decrease case L. "l" The virus starts off with the better case i. "I" they look an analogous and are not distinguishable with the traditional text cloth font. The i trojan virus attacked your device and brought about the deletion of serious information and such out of your equipment registry. the fact that your equipment won't boot considering that's lacking the dnsapi.dll bears witness to this. The area call equipment -dns- helps your pc to speak with different desktops over the internet. that's heavily related to and works with the icsmgr.exe - the internet connection sharing supervisor. living house windows desires all of those information and libraries to suitable function. it's going to be very severe priced to have this repaired by way of Geeks or Staples. 2- Your device desires to be reformatted and a clean deploy performed for it to stay returned in our on line international. the two that or you have a actual stable paper weight which will illuminate the room at evening with the blue demonstrate screen. in case you be attentive to the thank you to accomplish the clean deploy then you somewhat are in success, in any different case discover a pal who has confronted the trials of a frustrating frustrating force format and beg them .

Could be a problem with device drivers , hardware or software . This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html

Do you have restore? If so try that. Don't forget to unplug all printers, and accessories except mouse and keyboard.
