should i get xp home or xp pro?

im going to get a new laptop. im wondering which OS would be good to play games on? xp home or xp pro? or should i get windows vista home premium instead? plz help me ASAP

First , XP home and XP pro have no difference on playing games.Either one is OK.



Second,Vista is said not so good to support games as XP. So XP is better than vista on gaming performance .



Third, I recommend you to use Win7. It's definite that Win7 runs much faster and more fluent.

Depends on what you feel like, I'd say XP will soon be obsolete because of windows 7 coming out and Dirextx10 which isn't available on XP. If you're going to be a gamer for a while, I'd say get Vista or possibly Windows 7 when it comes out (only know it's getting released soon, guessing it'll be better than vista - not positive though).

Will my new laptop meet, or exceed, the (insert Game Name here) minimum hardware requirements? Then, look up each on the Game's website, and repeat for each game.



FYI: Most budget laptops "suck" for gaming... It would have helped to know the laptop Make and Model, AND, the Games you want to play!!!
