Powerpoint - How do I split an A4 page into 2 identical A5 pages?

Question

I want to design a party invite on powerpoint.
I want to work on an A4 landscape page - but make 2 x A5 size invites so that when it's printed, I can chop the page in half and have 2 identical A5 invites.
How do I go about doing this?

1) Choose File | Page Setup and select Slides sized for A4 & "Portrait"



2) Select View | Grid and Guides and click "Display drawing guides on screen"



You will then have a horizontal and vertical line showing centre of the page horizontally and vertically.



Note - If they are not in the centre you can drag left/right or up/down until "0.00" is displayed.

Firstly I am assuming you have set your page to A4 landscape because PowerPont by default is set to slide size which is slightly different. All you need do though (though Publisher would be the best program to use) is to use a blank slide, show your grid guides so that the slide is divided into quarters, create one text frame one half the size, put your text etc into that then copy and paste into a second frame then print and guillotine.
