I'm working with a powerpoint that has a lot of text in the speaker notes section (The notes box below the slide). I can't figure out how to change the font size. If I highlight the text and try to change the font size, it ignores it. It will make it bold, underline, etc... but not change text size. The text size option apparently only affects text in the slide itself, and not the notes section. Is there any way to edit the font size? This seems to be extremely user un-friendly.

You can adjust the font and size in the slide notes when in Notes view. On the View menu choose Notes Page. Click on the lower box and you can edit the text's appearance all you want. You can change the layout of Notes View by choosing View > Master > Notes Master.

You can not change the font size for notes. Put your view back to just the slide view. Then move your mouse down to the bottom of the slide until you get that tool/icon that sort of looks like a plus sign with double lines. Click and hold to drag the slide view up to reveal the notes page. Using this method, the notes page will be full sized.

You can change font size of notes section in office 2011 powerpoint for MAC.

Do this by clicking into Notes section. Then press Cmd + to make bigger. Cmd - to make smaller

This will apply to all slides of the presentation.
