Ok basically i can log in fine and i can play my game fine but when it comes to logging out the whol screen freezes and i cannot do anything... also there is a strange clicking noise coming from my tower i was wondering if some cog or somethin might be stuck or jammed inside and this maybe why im getting lag.. i leave this for several minutes and nothing happens so my only option is to turn the computer off by the power... if anyone could tell me what my issue is and a remedy for it.. then i would be overly grateful..

If your problem is the beeping noise, then I can tell you that my laptop does the same when it gets freezed. I consider myself pretty good at computers but I don't know what is the exact meaning of the beeping noise. Seeing the circumstances, my guess would be that it is a way for the computer to tell you "Don't do anything more right now!", meaning no clicking, no hitting, no nothing, just leave it there and wait until the computer manages to solve the problem by itself. And about the other problems, check if your computer got desconfigurated by viruses or the game itself. If the problem continues, make a copy of all of your files and get your machine to an expert. He may have to erase everything and reinstall Windows. Good luck and may the force be with you! (Haha)

the cd/dvd drive could be the problem.

If the game cd rom has scratches on it , the dvd drive can make clicking noise as it trys to read the damaged part of the disk. (if the games is a copy, the data could also be damaged)

It the drive cant read the damaged section on the disk your computer will freeze because with out this data the program cant finish running.

Just a thought, best to take the cover off the side of your rig to check if the noise is from your dvd drive or your hard drive.

If your playing it from a CD-ROM the noise will be coming from your drive it's in.

Sounds like the disc is corrupt, because the freezing is being caused by the program being unable to exit. The noise is being caused by the disc frantically tying to find the correct files.

If the disc doesn't make a noise with anything else you can bet your bottom dollar that's what it is.

OK, clicking noise is very bad. It means that you are going to lose your hard drive soon.

Make a backup of EVERYTHING important.

Make sure you have all of the installation disks for all your programs.

Buy a new hard drive and install it instead of the old one.

Install you OS and programs and retrieve all your data.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO ANY OF THAT HIRE A PROFESSIONAL.

It may be a problem with the hard drive or network card. See if this happens when you are browing a site and then disable the internet adaptor.

secondly world of worcraft is a terrible game.
