I'm using Windows 7. I need to delete a folder from Program files, but if i click the delete button it says that access is denied. I have tried to change the permission settings but access is denied always. I can't do anything. Any help? How can I delete that folder? The security settings of Windows 7 are really frustrating. By the way i'm the administrator so I should have any rights to change the files and folders on my computer.

Make sure the folder containing the program is uninstalled first. Also, make sure what ever is IN THE FOLDER isn't RUNNING, use the task manager to end the running task. THEN try deleting that folder.

I had to delete my printer folder one time, and it still said LXDMD.exe was running in my task manager. So I ended the task, THEN deleted the LEXMARK folder, and success!

CHMOD folder to 777 then delete. Windows 7 security is only a problem when you haven't set everything properly. I can delete any folder that are not in use in program files or anywhere without needing windows consent. Check your options!

archives in the temp folder are created whilst a application is downloading or working. as quickly as this methodology has used the record, it incredibly is now not mandatory. If the same record is mandatory at a destiny time, this methodology will re-create it. it incredibly is risk-free to get rid of all archives and folders in the temp folder.

When you open folder properties, make sure you un-check "read only". (not sure if that's what you meant by permission settings)
