Have tried the acceleration patch for limewire to and it was worthless. I have dial up which is ancient but i can't get anything else(to far away from everything) so i need all the speed i can get.

First of all I would go to a broadband connection, with a dial up connection it will take hours to download.

Bearshare.com and emule are good to download free music but it might be better to buy a CD and quit stealing, that's a sin!!!

Yeah, I heard the local music store gives away music, all you have todo is hand them some of that useless paper money you probably waste on mcdonalds every day.

ares,frostwire,kazaa(lots of adware),bearshare,Morpheus,

gnucleus,acquisition,apollon,

cabos,imesh,giFT,gtk-gnutella,

kceasy,kiwi alpha,mldonkey,mutella,

phex,poisoned,shareaza,xfactor,

xnap and XoloX

but limwire pro and ares are the best in my opinion

you bet. try e-mule (very slow, but safe, for me, the best) or ares (a LOT faster for music, but almost no full albums, a lot of viruses and corrupt files)
