Question:
Can a Word doc saved in multiple folders be updated in all saved locations at one time?

Hello,

I'm using Word 2007. Often when we create and save documents, we will save the same document in multiple folders. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to assure that if a document is updated, that the update is made in all of the locations where it is saved.

Thanks for your help,
Glenn

Don't know what your situation is exactly, but if you can, instead of copying the document into multiple folders just keep it in one folder and make shortcuts in all the other folders. This way you keep the same level of access but since there is only one actual file there's no need to update.

I dont think soo.....until u use a CLI but u need to be a technical user to use these commands...they dont save once but make it easier and faster...other wise u shoul make copies and paste it or over write it in the folder...:)

No. There's no mechanism in either Word or Windows to multiple-save documents.

Sorry.
