I want to draw over a picture on word and I have a mac. I thought you had to go to insert, and then shapes, but I don't seem to have shapes!?!
How do I do it?
Thank you! :)

If the clipart, or picture, has a blank area where you want to insert text, first insert a text box in the blank area and then type and format the text. The text box has a black frame that you can eliminate by right clicking on the border of the text box and selecting Format Text Box and on the Colors and Lines tab select no line. By default a text box has a white background. If you adjust the transparency to 100%, the text box will take the color of the graphic beneath it. The text in the text box will retain the formatting you previously chose. In effect the text is in a layer on top of the graphic.

These instructions are for a pc version of Word. I assume Mac instructions are similar.
