Hi

I have windows media player 11 on my vista operating system and I'm not getting sound from my any of my mpeg video files during playback. How do I fix this?

You need to install an audio codec. Go to Microsoft and download a codec pack. If its DVD theres a specific codec for it

Without knowing how that mpg file was created, there's almost no way of knowing what codec is needs.



I would highly suggest you to download and install the Vista Codec Package. This is a collection of many common audio and video codecs that will enable you to play 99% of all media out there. It's a MUST HAVE for Vista users.



See the link below and click on the download button. Don't worry about configuring it, just use all the defaults and everything should work fine.

this should fix it. google the 'Kazza Lite Codec Pack' and download it from esceedes web site, install it and you should be up and running. oh a codec is the format that the information in the file is stored in, its mostlikly not working cuz vista has not yet been told how to read the file.
