There are hacks for OS X to work on the PC, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR SECURITY AND LEGAL REASONS...

Mac OS X was hacked in 2006 under 30 minutes, and hacked within 2 minutes in a contest in 2008. Linux and Vista were not able to be hacked until another day when restrictions were lowered.

All macs are standardized with Cameras, if your system gets hacked, the hacker would more likely be able to turn on your camera.

Please Note: All OS's have vulnerabilities.

DON'T LIKE UBUNTU LINUX LOOK? Change it, it is simple to do or install KDE Version of Ubuntu (KUBUNTU) look down below... There are a lot of things you can do with Ubuntu (and other forms of Linux) such as Compiz Fusion.

Changing Ubuntu Look is very easy to do. Not like Windows or OS X!

To add Configurations for Compiz Fusion go to Synaptic Package Manager and add

================================================

Linux,:

Ubuntu - Largest community and most support. Uses GNOME Windowing environment

Kubuntu - Same as Ubuntu, with a different windowing system called KDE.

Please Note: If you install Ubuntu or Kubuntu, there you can also install the other with a command line of "sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop", "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop", "sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop"

Freespire - Codecs are pre-installed (for playing windows Media, flash, etc..)

PCLinuxOS - Very Polished KDE Windowing Linux.

NO MORE THAN 10 Links were allowed... Here are the ones that I could not add..

Maybe you shoul try reading Linux For Dummies first (you know, that little yellow book???), it really helped in my case. You should have a good idea after that. Basically, everything is the same from on distribution to the other, except for the graphical interface. Unless you want to use or devellop high level applications. I ended up choosing Suse but now I use Debian. I still consider myself a biginner though.

Mac Os will not work on a PC platform, as software and hardware are designed to work together ONLY. Linux comes in different platforms. Eg.

Redhat. just goggle to find the download site.

Ubuntu.com = great software, they even have a live CD that boots in the drive and runs fully without disturbing windows, tons of manuals are on mininova.org and h33t.com.

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora

Either would be great for a beginner, and have lots of software available.
