Try this

If you have Windows XP,

1. Right Click on the desktop.

2. Click on desktop tab.

3. Click Customize Desktop >> Check Internet Explorer Check Box.

For WIndows Vista,

1. Right Click on the desktop

2. Personalize

3. Change desktop Icon (On the left)

There you are without a shortcut, but the real icon

Sure that helped my fren!!!

I don't think you understand how shortcuts work! If you were to place the original IE exe (icon) on your desktop, It wouldn't do anything and all the other files associated with it are missing. They all have to be in the same folder. Shortcuts are icons that link to the original exe in the proper folder.

The only way to get the IE icon on your desktop is a shortcut, or taking the hundreds of files in the IE folder and placing those all on your desktop (Which I'm positive you don't want).

Hope that helped!

do not project - you deleted the icon, not the certainly application itself. many times the report is under your application records folder. on the beginning up button, astonishing-click and click come across. The C stress folder might desire to be open (if not, purely open it) and between the sub-categories you may desire to be waiting to discover application records. seem for the internet Explorer folder and there might desire to be yet another icon in that folder which you would be able to easily purely click and drag onto the very own pc, springing up a sparkling icon establishing an identical application. If it is not there, pass to the area the place you put in it, and look at the place you saved the report to. close it, and pass to the folder by means of making use of the come across function.

you could go into drive C, program files, then internet explorer and then right click on the .exe file and then send to, then click to desktop. after, go on the desktop and right click and click rename and backspace shortcut to. that's all
