Hi everybody

Basically the situation is that i have made a movie that incorporates 2 gif. type images. They play fine when in movie maker, but when i published it and played the file in windows media player, the Gif. images were gone and were instead replaced with nothing, just blackness until the gif. image section was over and was replaced with a normal picture. The Gif. image is a really important part of the movie so i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to rectify this problem, as i want to put it on youtube.

many thanks!

Geoff

p.s - its not a gif image i've made its one that i saved from a website, dunno if that makes any difference? :D
thanks

use this to convert your image then import that into movie maker you may have to start over again if you have not saved your work files >>http://www.nchsoftware.com/imageconverter/index.html

Windows Media Player (and other "movie" players) cannot play gif, because gif is not really a video, it's an animated picture.

You need to find a converter, which will convert gif into a real movie format and then insert them into your project. I don't know if such conversion is even possible, so Google something like "Convert gif to WMV" and see what you can find.

I can convert the GIF to AVI so that Windows movie maker will read it...

Publish your project in another computer, because i do it right now and i have no problem.
