Question:
Is it possible to play along Youtube videos wearing earphones or using FL Studio and Youtube at the same time?

I have a music keyboard and a midi-to-usb cable. I wanted to be able to play along piano tutorials on Youtube. However, I want to be able to do it while wearing earphones. I downloaded the demo of FL Studio and it allows me to hear what I play in my computer speakers/headphones. The problem is that the sound seems to be deactivated for other applications while FL Studio is open, so I can't have any sound on Youtube videos I want to watch while playing.

I found a possible solution on the Internet (checking "Auto close device" in "Audio Settings" in FL Studio) but it doesn't seem to work for me, I still can't access the sound in my videos while FL Studio is open.

Is there a way to play both sounds at the same time or is there another software that could allow me to do this and to hear myself play along a Youtube video even when wearing earphones?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah "Auto close device" won't work. What that does is automatically close your audio driver when the FL Studio window isn't selected. You don't want this because when it does that, you'll be able to hear sounds in other applications but not in FL Studio, right?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what this might be, but I think it might just do with the fact that you could be using ASIO4ALL. I don't know if you are, but if you are then the problem with that driver is that when you're on FL Studio with it, it only allows FL Studio to produce sound and as you said, all the other applications get their sound deactivated. That's what happens with me anyway.

If you are using ASIO4ALL, then to fix this you need to go to Options > Audio settings and under Input/Output, switch to Primary Sound Driver. This one generally isn't nearly as good as ASIO4ALL. In fact you may even get some lag when playing on your MIDI keyboard (if so, lower the buffer size in Audio settings). Still, when you're using the Primary Sound Driver, you can hear sound in all other applications just fine! That's what I do when I want to play along to YouTube videos.

Now uh... if you're not using ASIO4ALL, I can't help I'm afraid!

Ha. I have the same problem too. I don't have a memory card in mine, so that shouldn't hold it up either. It worked fine for 2 days then shot out on me hanging at the 0%. Don't even bother calling. They will keep you on hold forever. I even went through the entire manual (found on the vm website) and that offers no help. Tried reprogramming my phone and even taking the battery out. Nothing has worked so far. I feel like I continue to try in vain. I must say, it's such a shame it doesn't work, because aside from that, I have no other problems! I love the phone. Not fond of opera mini, I'd rather just use the web search function so that things are not italicized and fuzzy looking. When you go to the toolbar, you can save certain pages as favorites and switch back and forth, and the loading hasn't taken long on mine at all. Then again, I may be in a better area that others on here that have had problems. I'll post up if my youtube comes back (my fingers are crossed) and interested to hear what others continue to find with this phone!

Hello,

You need the last version of Adobe Flash Player to be able to watch all the viedos on internet.

If you are searching for Adobe Falsh Player you can download it for free here http://j.mp/1p3Pwcr

Hello,

if your videos are not showing up on facebook or youtube is very likely that you are missing adobe flash player (it can be damaged or simple not properly installed). You should definitely get or update Adobe Flash Player (get one of the latest versions though) and you are very likely to solve your video issues.

You can find it here http://bitly.com/1p3PGAq

Hope that helps. Cheers.

I am both an online piano teacher and an offline piano teacher. After teaching extensively both ways, I can honestly tell you that I see many more advantages with learning online. Learn here https://tr.im/piano4all

Keep in mind that, while surprising, those words only hold true with an online program that has every component it needs to provide you with the potential benefits.
