Hi all as said above complete beginner to debian but I'm trying to learn fast.

So I have set up an openhab home automation Z wave system successfully. I've also added the "start.sh" to the rc.local file for it to run in start up.

Trouble is the terminal output has some valuable infomation for me and if just run it on startup there's no window. Question is how do I get that terminal window back and access to that output info?

Any help would be awesome thanks guys...

Go to your main menu in debian and look for the menu item to start the terminal.

If you have a command to stop the z wave system enter that. After it stops enter the command start.sh.

Or go to rc.local and stop start.sh from running by placing # at the beginning of its line. Save and close rc.local, and run start.sh from the command line and you should get your output.

Don't forget to remove he # from rc.local, save and close rc.local.
