Question:
HELP PHOTOSHOP [URGENT]?
2008-08-13 19:01:25 UTC
I'm working on a new picture, and I need to use Photoshop to edit it. I haven't used PS in forever though. So I'm not exactly sure how to make my picture look like this:

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l35/metrofish21/split.jpg

I have a picture of me sitting on the counter, and a picture of me doing the expression in the mirror. I just don't know how to combine the two to make it look like the picture above.

Does anyone know how to do this in Photoshop, or if it's even possible to do not using photoshop? Thanks sooo much.

Yes it is possible with photoshop. You need to set your camera on a tripod. Take one picture of you in the pose you want in the refection, take another picture of the pose you want that is not the reflection.

Open both in photoshop. Using the polygonal lasso, select the mirror in the picture with the pose you want in the reflection. Choose Layer, New Layer via Copy. Using the move tool drag it into the other picture. Place this layer over top of the mirror with the reflection you want to replace. Save the file as a psd file. Now choose Save for Web and save out a copy as a jpg and you have your modified picture.

ok. There are a lot of ways to go about doing this.... using layers and masks: open both images in photoshop. With the move tool, drag the picture of you in the mirror onto the other image with you sitting on the counter. (it will make a new layer). On the layer with you in the mirror, drop the opacity (I'd say to like 60%) and again, using the move tool, line yourself up so you will be in the mirror. You drop the opacity so you can see the layer beneath with you sitting on the counter. Once you have the layer with you in the mirror in the position you want, return the opacity back to 100%. Now make a layer mask on that layer. (the piece of paper with a hole in it on the layers pallette) Your mask should appear as a white box next to the thumbnail of the layer you are on. Now using the paintbrush (shortcut key 'B') set to black, paint where you DON'T WANT. In this case, you want to leave yourself in the mirror so paint every where else. No worries if you paint something out that you want to put back, just change the brush to white paint and put it back. Once you have the images combined to your liking, flatten it.

you'll have to crop it out from another picture. so if you have two different ones in the same lighting, use smart edge to go around the lines of your body that you want in the mirror, and then paste it into the other pictures backround on the mirror or wherever you want it...it should turn out ok. it takes practice theres so much to psp but thats just what i would do.

Put each pic on a separate layer in photoshop. Place them how you want then use eraser tool on one layer over the part to show through, after locking other layer and leave the other pic

that's going to take a lot of work!

first you'd have to erase one of your poses, take the pose you want to change and use magic wand tool and copy it to a new layer, then you would have to play around with the transform (flip horizontal, rotate, etc.) and skew tool to make it look like the two are the same. Depending if you meant you wanted to delete the mirror, or sitting down pose, you would have to erase one of them and use the clone stamp to replace what would be there if you weren't.

If you give me the two, I'll do it for you.

I took a 10-week in Photoshop and have CS3, the best version available, from my workplace.
