This is for a user that I support (I work in IT). Usually I don't have problems with any Office products, but this particular case I can't figure out. Here is what is going on:

This user's outlook is not displaying reminders for him, and this is causing him to miss meetings, etc.

He gets this warning then a little later they stop working: "Error: There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment. Data has become corrupted."

I have tried the following:

1.) Click on start > run, and copy and paste the entire following string into the Run: box…

"outlook.exe /resetfolders /cleanreminders /cleanfreebusy
/cleanrules /cleanprofile /cleanschedplus /cleansniff /sniff"

…That is every relevant command-line switch I could find

2.) Recreated his outlook profile

His mailbox delivery is set to Mailbox (Exchange), and he is not using a .pst file.

STILL DOESNT WORK. HELP?

1. Click to select the Calendar folder.

2. On the View menu, point to "Arrange By" then "Current View" and click "Active Appointments".

3. Open each item. When you get to the damaged item, it probably won't open. The only solution is to delete the damaged item.

4. Restart Outlook to verify the fix.

5. If the steps above did not fix the issue, try the following steps.

6. On the View menu, point to "Arrange By" then "Current View" and click "Recurring Appointments".

7. Open the damaged item. If you don't know which item it is, perform the remaining steps on each item.

8. On the Actions menu, click Recurrence.

9. In Appointment Recurrence, click OK. You may receive the following message: Any exceptions associated with this recurring appointment will be lost. If any of the exceptions are meetings, the attendees will not be notified. Is this OK?

NOTE: This means any changes you made to individual occurrences of the item will be lost and the new recurrence pattern will be set.

Click OK if you receive this message.

10. Save and close the item."

Based on what you have done already. I would try this:

Create a .PST file, copy everything from the Exchange folder to it. Delete the users exchange account, rebuild the exchange account, and import the PST back to the new exchange account.

On a side note, depending on how important his historical data is on the calendar, I would consider NOT importing it, and just rebuilding the future appointments on the calendar

I would get the Exchange people looking into it - the data the error is referring to is the exchange database. there are tools to optimize and fix the databases - these should be ran periodically but might not be.

to prove this with out a doubt - setup totally on a seperate machine - if the same results then I would say it isn't a client thing but a server thing.

perhaps you have entered the reminder time in the incorrect field. or you have set that assembly as a low precedence meaning it became over ruled by ability of a few thing extra significant on your diary. Redo it very slowly and you will locate there will be an errors in the cases, till your computing gadget clock is half-hour sluggish or some thing??
