Question about deleted files on a laptop. Please help!?

Question

If I were to reinstall Windows, I know this will delete all of the files on my C drive. However, there is a program that I know of that can recover deleted files.

My question is: If I used this after I'd done this, will I get the files back that were "deleted" off the system if I choose? I'd used this programme before and discovered files I'd forgotten that I had on there after I'd reinstalled Windows, but maybe my memory isn't serving me well - I just want to make sure.

Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks if you can help :)

the answer is no, your program will not work

reason: when you delete a file, it deletes most of the info, but keeps a small bit of hidden information, think of it as a shadow. then when you run the program, it finds the shadow, and regenerates the original file from the shoadow

however, when you re install windows you have to go thru a prossess, durring which you have to format the harddrive. when you format the hard drive, it not only deletes all files, but the shadows as well.
