Microsoft Office Setup has stopped working?

I am trying to activate my Microsoft Office but it says Setup has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I restarted my computer but it still pops up and since I am a student I would really like to fix this problem. If you know what the problem and solution is, please tell me! thanks!

Is the software compatible with your pc because if you're running a MS Office 32bit on a 64 bit computer and vice versa it will not work. Also try copying the files from the CD onto your pc or even a flash drive so you can try running it on your laptop. This way you can tell if you have a bad version of Office or if it's just not working on your pc.

Microsoft Office 2013 has stopped working error occurs when you try to open Office 2013. I can’t start my Office 2013 application. This error also occurs when you open Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, etc.
