I updated my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8 shortly after buying it, since then it keeps coming up with the blue screen of death - I lost countless hours of work when it started doing it and it's just generally driving me mad!

It had Windows 7 installed originally if that helps? Any advice on how to stop the Blue Screen or if that's not possible to uninstall 8 and reinstall 7 would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

You may need to update a driver.

You have to figure out what's causing the BSOD. There is no magical "fix" for all BSOD. Each one is different. It's either coming from a hardware or software issue but it's likely hardware unless you recently installed some software that might be incompatible. You need to get the error message and post it (start a new question with the details). Then maybe we can help you resolve it.

BSOD can be hardware or software related

There should be a stop error code indicating the reason for the BSOD, post back and we may be able to advise further

It's not likely because of windows 8. Check how much hard drive space you have. sometimes when you start to get low on space it can cause it. It can be caused by a number of things so we might need more information.
