windows vista and now 7. they made me SOO angry .. i have 3 computers 1 is connected to my TV (linux mint 7) one laptop (vista and windows 7) and one desktop (linux mint 7 / ubuntu) i freshly installed windows 7 on my laptop 5 days ago. and its already showing signs of slowing down . and i had vista before it for a year ( after a fresh install) windows is a virus .. it just degrades no matter how well i take care of teh system (registry cleaning / virus checks / spyware checks / cleanups ) it just degrades within 2 months of a fresh install i thought windows 7 would be better. but its not .. i do nothing but uninstall a program and my registries have 50 errors. WHY IS MICROSOFT SO concerned about looks? they need to fix the kernel they need to abandon registries they need a fresh start!!! i wasted 120$ for the update .. i hate microsoft now. ITS shiny yes .. but it still has all the windows problems. WHY teh hell do i need to defragment , cleanup , and check registries every week? ITS about time to build a better file system (ntfs/FAT 32 sucks) who else agrees?
why do we have to mdo a maintenance on a machine every week?

thank you.

I have been using Vista 64-bit since release and yes, it was pretty messy when it first came out. However, it is great now. I still find it as fast as when I first installed it. However, I go and make separate partitions for my windows files, games, media etc. Also, my Windows folder is on two Solid States in RAID 0. So whenever windows boots, there is nothing else booting at the same time.

Also, if you have a decent computer, you won't find slow downs. Most people like you (who complain how slow it is, that it is garbage) have no idea what they are putting it on. Now, I am not saying you don't, nor do I have the intention of trying to make you sound stupid. You did that all ready typing in caps, and putting spaces after all your periods, commas etc.

You are just doing something wrong. It isnt Windows.

I’ve used Windows 7 RTM for about than 2 months, after I installed more and more programs, it became slower & slower, a little disappointment comes. However, one of my friend introduces a best registry optimizer to me and explain why I needed, however, it did help improve the performance of Windows 7.

How to enhance the speed of Windows 7- make your Windows PC runs safe, fast and healthy!

Sounds like you have hardware problems. I have Vista Ultimate running on two homebuilt PCs, and Win7 Ultimate on another. No problems. The speed is fine, and the only issues I'm having are finding 64-bit Win7 printer drivers. I also support Vista on 30+ PCs at work - it's a huge improvement over XP. And I haven't had any complaints from users, nor have I had to defrag or clean up at all, even after 2 years with Vista on my primary systems.
