trying to move folders to cd so I can reformat the hard drive, but the access is denied in the folders what can I do

You don't need to Move the folders you just need to Copy them.

If you can open the files in the folder you can copy them.

It could also be that your CD drive is not setup for Drag and Drop. Try opening your CD recorder software and copy from that.

First, what kind are the folders that you are trying to move/copy? If they are folders that belong to Programs, you cannot and you should not do it. If they are file folders that you have created your self, like the ones in "My Documents" you should not have any problems in moving/copying them. Now, if you have problems in moving your file folders then something must be wrong with you system or your machine may have been infected with some kind of virus or spyware.

First and foremost...upgrade your OS and get rid of Windows ME. This OS doesn't play well with anything.



Bite the bullet and join the rest of us in the 21st. century...it's not that bad. Once you upgrade your OS...all your issues will be gone. Preferably, upgrade to at least Windows XP SP2
