Ok, I use windows, but if linux or some other OS has better music recording programs i might switch.

but that aside...

What are some good and very customizable recording programs?

Like audacity, and such.

the main thing I am trying to do is turn my computer into a recording studio, list me all the programs that will help.

i have tried hundreds of softwares. sony's acid is the best. professional recording and the easiest to use and its fast with all kinds of effects.if you dont think its professional, its because either you dont know how to use it or you dont know music. loops as well as voice recording.
