when i type different special characters i get boxes. on my old computer, i was able to type special characters without a problem, but on this one, they just show up as empty boxes. if i type Alt + 131 (on number pad) im supposed to get an a with a symbol on top, but i get an empty square. is there and program i can download or a font i can get to make it work?

You need to download a font that has Alt+131 as a character like รข. Whatever font you are using doesn't have that character built into it.

I am assuming that you are using Windows XP. I suppose that this will work in Windows 7 also.

Go to START

The SEARCH

and search for charmap. It should show up somewhere in the Windows folder. When you open that program you can choose the font you want and copy the character that you want

this happens when the font you are using currently does not have that specific special character.

they purely located them in. that's no longer to any extent further complicated. in case you propose why is a pizza around yet a field is sq. that's considering is greater fee-valuable to make a sq. field than a around one and swifter and much less puzzling to make a around pizza than a sq. one.

they only located them in. that's no longer from now on complicated. in case you intend why is a pizza around yet a field is sq. it somewhat is because of the fact this is greater fee-efficient to make a sq. field than a around one and swifter and much less perplexing to make a around pizza than a sq. one.
