I recently got windows 7, and i was wondering, on an advert on the telly it shows you dragging and dropping stuff onto sides of the screen and then they pop, so you can view multiple screens (web pages etc) at once, but i cant figure out how. Im dragging and dropping but nothing is happening. please help!

There are two ways to do this:

1) With a window selected (you called them 'screens' - but it sounds like you're referring to 'windows'), press the Windows Key on your keyboard and the left OR right arrow at the same time. This will 'dock' the window to the left or right side of your screen, respectively.

2) Click and drag the title bar of the window (the bar at the very top of the window, with the name of the program in it) all the way to the left or right side of your screen and let up the mouse button. This will also dock the window to the side of the screen that you dragged the window to.

Drag the top of a window to the top to maximize, left to snap to left half of screen, right to snap to right half of screen. Resize the window to the top of the screen to make it the same height as the screen. This is called Aero Snap. Merry Christmas.

Re size and then the next screen will be next to it then the next under and the next next to that

Bit of a gimmick and hard to see and work with in my opinion
