You can Install OS X on a PC.

Watch this free video and it will show you how to install OS X on PC, and you might not want to do it:

No. Do not do this. Although there are methods for doing so, it is a violation of Apple's license to do this, and Apple is suing companies that have tried to sell PCs hacked to run the Mac OS. It is possible, but it requires being really knowledgeable in how to mess around with how your computer runs, and there are NO guarantees, and NO support. You run the risk of turning your computer into a useless dead box.

Much better is to invest in a Mac, then use Bootcamp to partition your drive and install a copy of Windows on that drive. You can run XP or Vista on the partition, and then you can run almost any Windows based program on the Windows side of things, and Mac programs on the Mac side. The other option is to get the Mac and buy one of the two virtual machine programs, VMWare Fusion or Parallels that you will let you run the Windows OS on top of the Mac OS.

Good luck.

hi andreas, let's put it this way i would not advice it not unless you have two hard drive which i am sure you do not. with windows xp you have service packs like one two or three and then you can install professional or business is another name i have hjeard it called. where as mac is a window all to itself and if you cause driver issues then you have got real troubles cause nothing will work and that is why i don't advice it you can corrupt your system. now let's say you had an apple then you could but then apple has petition problem so when they sell an apple with mac mac is their operating system but they can download internet explorer 7 or windows xp but if theres an error and that is any error than they lose all that data and goes back to mac and their time and date is messed up too. good luck hope i was helpful to you

it is attainable, yet a splash complicated. Ubuntu has information on the thank you to try this on their wiki. it is going to postpone basically positive even though it quite is recommended to get a greater tensecontinual. the factor approximately twin/tri-booting is that it has no impact on device supplies different than tensecontinual area (you're tri-booting, no longer virtualizing). So it may postpone just to boot for an equivalent Dell or HP. you will could desire to try this the old style way with handbook partitioning. Boot Camp (that's relatively basically a partitioning gadget, a hack to get BIOS emulation on OS X, and abode windows drivers), freaks out in case you have extra beneficial than 3 partitions on the tensecontinual. And for those people who say that the Dell/HP is a lots extra beneficial selection on account which you may get them extra much less costly, attempt evaluating apples to apples (no pun meant) sometime. by utilising which I recommend a 13.3" laptop with an LED backlit exhibit, Nvidia pics, and a 2.26Ghz middle 2 Duo processor. no longer a 13" Celeron with Intel's excuse for pics.
