windows 7 starter with Java version 7?

I'm having trouble getting Java version 7 to work on my new netbook (HP Mini 210-4000 with Atom N2800) with Windows 7 Starter. Any thoughts?

It will test your system for java and suggest ways to get it working



But be prepared to re-install if it can't be found (even if it's on your machine)

I installed jre-7u3-windows-x64.exe

but it didn't work in my browsers

So I got chromeinstall-7u4.exe and it works everywhere.

After that, install JRE:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre



You only need the 32-bit version of JRE as you only have Windows 7 Starter edition which is only a 32-bit OS.
