How can I get my Desktop Icon to show on my Status Bar to Show Desktop?

Question

I had my desktop icon once before on my status bar, but now it has left me again. How can I get it back there? I'm familiar with dragging an icon from my desktop to get a program on my status bar, but how do I do it for a desktop icon.

So I want to be able to Show Desktop with one Click, instead of having to right click on my status bar and choosing it.
