Can I launch an application buy using a keyboard shortcut?

Question

The software on my old graphics card allowed me to program in keyboard shortcuts that would launch applications. I would then associate those keystrokes with the extra buttons on my mouse, so I could open an application by pushing a button on my mouse. I have a new computer now with a different graphics card, is there any way for me to program keyboard shortcuts that will launch applications?

yes... go to start menu and then find the program in all programs

when you have found it right click on it and press properties

make sure it is on the shortcut tab where it will say where the program is located. there shoulds be a thing that says program shortcut key and click on it and press the key

wow, did you know I was surfing yahoo answers and I tested the early versions of kensington mouseworks?

They stopped supporting it at the end of XP. Not sure if they replaced it with another program.

You can open up an application (like XP operating system) and the mouse has shortcuts that only works with that program. Like ctrl right click does a certain action. Seems to work with any mouse. One thing that I never tested, if you run a game, the game reprograms the keyboard because it has its own thing to do like the letter d moving right and s moving left.

Anyway MouseWorks by Kensington. You need XP or earlier operating system. They might have renamed it and supported Vista, win7. MouseWorks cam in handy when I had a special project in Excel and I needed special keyboard/mouse commands to finish it fast.
