In MS Word, how can I have multiple items in different places in the footer?

For example, I want the file path and name left justified, the page number centered, and the date and time right justified. Easy to do in Excel....

Under view, click Header and Footer. Position your cursor where you want the info to go and use the tool bar to create date/time, page number etc. It will be placed at the current cursor position. You can also key test into both the header and the footer.

Two ways:

In the footer: create a centered tab at about 4.25", and a right-aligned tab about 7". Type the first item, tab to the centered, tab to the right-aligned.

or

in the footer: Insert a table, 3 columns, 1 row.

Cl View, Toolbars, Table

remove the borders

type your text

left column, type at left margin

middle column, type text, click Center align

right column, type text, click right-align button

Use TAB to align the items
